Hotel Block Reserved

Education Sessions and Descriptions
The conference features education sessions throughout the event starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 4 and concluding at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, October 5. The session schedule, speakers and session descriptions can be viewed here.

12.5-13.5 CEUs Approved

Iowa DNR has approved 12.5-13.5 CEUs for the entire conference. Note that to receive 13.5 CEUs, you must attend the Operations and Safety Tour, which is 5 hours on Monday, October 3. For full details on approved CEUs for each session, visit the Session Descriptions page.

New this year, there are four tour options on Monday, October 3! Please pay close attention to tour times, as departure and return times vary. Read tour details.


  • Tour 1: Recycling & Reuse, 1-5 p.m. Scott Area Recycling Center, Electronic Demanufacturing Facility, Antique Archaeology and Reusable Usables. 
  • Tour 2: Operations & Safety, Noon-5 p.m. John Deere Demonstration Site and Midwest Center for Public Safety Training.
  • Tour 3: Sustainability, 1-5 p.m. Nahant Marsh Education Center, Davenport Compost Facility,  Habitat ReStore and Quad Cities Food Hub
  • Tour 4: Technology & Innovation, 1-5 p.m. Sievers Family Farms, AgriRenew and Green America Recycling.
